Dr. Steven Berman is a Board Certified Urologist in private practice since 1986. He is affiliated with Mt. Sinai/Beth Israel Hospital, New York Hospital –Cornell and Northwell/Lenox Hill. Dr. Berman practices general urology with a particular interest in kidney, bladder and prostate cancer and early detection.
After graduating from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1981, Dr. Berman interned in General Surgery and then completed his Urology residency at Montefiore- Albert Einstein Medical Center in 1986. In 1986 Dr. Berman started practice in New York and opened a second office in Throggs Neck/The Bronx in 1989. In 2010 Dr. Berman moved his Manhattan office from Greenwich Village to 201 E. 19th Street in Gramercy.
Dr. Berman is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology. Society memberships include the A.U.A., The New York Section of the A.U.A. and the NY State Medical Society.
Dr. Berman is married and has three grown up children. He enjoys most outdoor sports in particular tennis, skiing and swimming.
